About Reina
Reina has worked in the mental health field for over 10 years. Her passion and interest in mental health were sparked at her first job as a case manager at a local non-profit. Reina supported individuals dealing with traumatic life experiences by connecting them with services. Her interactions in the role of case manager opened her eyes to the need for therapy and counseling in the community. These experiences ignited her motivation to complete a graduate degree that would allow her to provide therapy.
After graduating from the California State University of Long Beach in 2017, Reina has provided therapy to children and adults with various needs. After a few years of providing therapy Reina found a special interest in working with individuals who experienced anxiety and traumatic experiences. She has pursued specialized training to provide her with the skills to assist individuals with anxiety and trauma. Reina is certified in the following evidence-based treatment approaches; Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Seeking Safety, Managing and Adapting Practice (MAP), Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) for children and adolescents, and Incredible Years.
