How therapy can help
Trauma may show up as intrusive memories, avoidance, numbness, shame, or feeling on guard. You do not need a PTSD diagnosis to ask for support.
We start with coping skills and a sense of safety. When you are ready, we can explore thoughts, emotions, and patterns tied to past experiences at a manageable pace.
My training includes trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) and Seeking Safety. CBT can help identify beliefs shaped by trauma and practice more helpful responses; Seeking Safety emphasizes coping and present-day safety. I tailor this work to adults.
